Flotilla finally dislodges huge barge from Lake Ontario shoreline

(BURLINGTON, Ontario) — A flotilla of salvage vessels has finally dislodged a huge barge from the Lake Ontario shoreline, the Burlington Post newspaper reported. The 100-meter barge broke free from its tow and ran aground Dec. 21. Two tugboats and a workboat were involved in the recovery project, along with heavy equipment from land.
