Falling buoy kills two workers at Navy shipyard

(PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii) — The U.S. Navy and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating an accident Wednesday that killed two workers and injured two others at a Navy shipyard here, KHON2 reported. The accident occurred when a 5-ton buoy, raised about 70 feet by a crane, fell and landed on the workers. The shipyard is Navy property, but the workers are all civilians hired by private contractor Healy Tibbits Builders.
