Duluth, Superior mark 50th anniversary of arrival of first saltie

(DULUTH, Minn.) — The Twin Ports commemorated the 50th anniversary of the arrival of their first saltie, television station WDIO reported. The British-flagged Ramone De Larrinaga picked up a load of grain on May 3, 1959. The Twin Ports staged a re-enactment of the moment, with the Edward H temporarily carrying the Larrinaga banner.
