Dispute between pilot, ship’s crew triggers distress call

(BALTIMORE) — The Maltese-flagged ship Ocean Victory has been detained by the Coast Guard in the Chesapeake Bay while an incident aboard the vessel is investigated, the Baltimore Examiner newspaper reported. A distress call originated from the ship after an incident involving the ship’s crew and a pilot who was aboard. The ship must remain anchored near the Patuxent River while the Coast Guard probes the dispute.
