Crewman missing from tanker off Bolivar, Texas

The following is the text of a press release issued April 14 by the U.S. Coast Guard:
 
(HOUSTON) — The Coast Guard is searching for a 29-year-old crewman who went missing off a tanker near Bolivar, Texas today.

A watchstander at Coast Guard Sector Houston/Galveston received a call at 5:05 a.m. from the agent of the tanker Chembulk New York. The agent reported that one of his crewman had gone missing; the last time he had been seen was at midnight , during the crew muster, just before leaving Texas City Dock 67.

The Coast Guard dispatched a rescue boat crew from Station Galveston  and is broadcasting a notice to all mariners to be on the look-out for any sign of the missing crewman. The Texas City Police Department is searching the Texas City Dyke area as well.

The missing crewman is described as being five-feet, seven inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. It is unknown what he was wearing.
