(FAIRFIELD, Conn.) — A crewman on a barge was in critical condition after a being struck in the head by a steel rod from a crane assembly, the Connecticut Post newspaper reported. The Norwalk Marine Construction Inc. employee was knocked into the water, and his captain jumped in and rescued him.
