(CLEVELAND) — Scores of Coast Guard vessels, fire boats and commercial air boats rescued about 125 people from a Lake Erie ice floe, the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper reported. One private air boat sank after it attempted to transport an ATV that was too heavy. One snowmobiler died after falling through the thawing ice.
