Coast Guard Foundation kicks off 2022 scholarship season

(STONINGTON, Conn.) — The Coast Guard Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the Coast Guard community and service by supporting members and families, has kicked off its 2022 scholarship season.

Accepting applications from Feb. 1 through March 15, children of Coast Guard members may apply for annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to fund undergraduate education or training at accredited technical schools. Scholarships are available to children of Coast Guard members who are active duty, active-duty reserve and retired.

All scholarship applicants must use the online application hosted by the Coast Guard Foundation. Interested college-aged children of Coast Guard members should check eligibility guidelines at coastguardfoundation.org/apply.

During the past five years, the Coast Guard Foundation has awarded an average of more than $400,000 in scholarships annually. In the 30 years of the program, the Coast Guard Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $6 million to more than 1,500 college-aged young adults.
