Children’s ferry operator charged with being drunk while working

(CRISFIELD, Md.) — A man who ferries schoolchildren between Smith Island and Crisfield was charged with operating the vessel while drunk, the Baltimore Sun newpaper reported. The Coast Guard said the man’s mariner license has been suspended. Five children were aboard the 60-foot ferry when the Coast Guard boarded it.
