(NEW ORLEANS) — Carnival has abandoned its home port in New Orleans and instead will use Mobile, USA Today reported on its Cruise Log blog. The cleanup of last month’s spill continue to cause problems for vessel traffic in the Mississippi River. Carnival says its cruise ship Fantasy will call at Mobile through at least September.
