(SEATTLE) — Xero Point Green Technology of Prince Edward Island is building the power system for the so-called Eco-Tug, Canwest News Service reported. The hybrid tug, nearing competion by Foss Maritime, will have auxiliary engines and a battery system that will power the vessel while it idles. It is expected to reduce emissions by as much as 30 percent.
