(JONES BEACH, N.Y.) — A 625-foot cargo ship and a 72-foot fishing boat collided 11 miles south of Jones Beach, Newsday reported. The weather was clear when the accident involving the ship Baldor and the fishing vessel Atlantic Queen happened around 3 a.m. The Coast Guard said one person received a non-life-threatening injury, and Atlantic Queen lost 15 feet off its bow and was in distress.
