(PEEL, Ark.) — The ferry between Peel and Protem, Mo., is that last public ferry in the state of Arkansas, the Harrison Daily Times newspaper reported. A tugboat pushes the vessel across Bull Shoals Lake, which is along the White River. Summertime is the busiest season, and the ferry stops operating only in severe weather.
