Keel laid for new 6,000-cubic-yard USACE hopper dredge

A rendering of the hopper dredge Donnelly, now under construction at Eastern Shipbuilding Group’s Allanton, Fla., facility. The 320-foot vessel will carry up to 6,000 cubic yards of material and is designed to dredge to depths of 65 feet, replacing the aging dredge McFarland in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers fleet.
