(ST. LOUIS) — A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers towboat and barge rescued four boaters Wednesday after their vessel grounded on a chevron in the Mississippi River, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The horseshoe-shaped rock formation was built by the Corps seven years ago to maintain the barge channel. The chevron was submerged due to the high level of the river.
