(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) — A tugboat grounded on the Nushagak River near Dillingham early Wednesday and spilled at least 5,000 gallons of fuel, KTUU Channel 2 reported. The captain of the 100-foot Devon reported about 1 a.m. that the vessel collided with a rock and damaged its fuel tank, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Shawn Eggert. Remaining fuel was transferred to a void space on the vessel, which is owned by Sam Barging.
