(RAINIER, Wash.) — Michele Marie, the first of three $10 million Arctic-class tugboats in the works from Foss Maritime, is coming to life at the company's Rainier shipyard, the Longview Daily News reported. The 132-foot vessel will be used to tow drilling modules from South Korea to oil fields in Alaska. A reinforced hull will allow the boat to navigate through icy seas and heated decks will prevent ice buildup.
