(ASSATEAGUE ISLAND, Va.) — A 77-foot former fishing boat that ran aground has been salvaged, the Chincoteague Beacon newspaper reported. American Marine Group of Norfolk successfully refloated the Frieda Marie about two months after it grounded. Tugboat towed the boat to a Chincoteague dock, and officials plan to turn it into an artificial reef.
