Alaska fishermen receive training in oil-spill first response

(CORDOVA, Alaska) — Fishermen in Prince William Sound are being trained in oil spill response, the Cordova Times newspaper reported. About 124 crew trained as part of the Ship Escort Response Vessel System. They are taught how to tow boom, operate skimmers and handle barges.
