(DILLINGHAM, Alaska) — The towing vessel M/V Challenger, a barge it was guiding and a load of scrapped vehicles were hauled out of the Nushagak River this week, KDLG News reported. The Ridge Contracting boat and barge capsized and sank Aug. 9, with the two crewmembers rescued by a passing boat. Vitus Marine handled the salvage.
