World’s last wooden whaling ship may return to sea (PHOTO)

(MYSTIC, Conn.) — The world’s last wooden whaling ship is undergoing restoration and may sail again, The Day newspaper of New London reported. The Charles W. Morgan is in drydock at Mystic Seaport, which is attempting further fund-raising to make the vessel seaworthy. The 113-foot ship sailed in trade from 1841 to 1923.
