Windblown crane barge breaks free, runs aground

(SEATTLE, Wash.) — A crane barge broke free in high winds at a construction site on Lake Washington, then grounded along with two other attached barges near residential docks, The Seattle Times reported. Officials suspect that spuds holding the barges in place were uprooted, allowing the vessels to drift. Another contractor's on-call tugboat retrieved the barges.
