(SAN DIEGO) — A whale-watching boat crashed into a downtown pier Thursday afternoon, injuring seven passengers and damaging the vessel and a walkway, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. The 150-foot Adventure Hornblower reportedly suffered a mechanical malfunction that caused the throttle to stick, and the crew could not prevent the impact. Three passengers were hospitalized.
