(PASCAGOULA, Miss.) — VT Halter Marine has delivered USNS Maury (T-AGS 66), a Pathfinder-class oceanographic survey ship, to the U.S. Navy, Naval-technology.com reported. The 353-foot vessel is 24 feet longer than the previous T-AGS design in order to accommodate a 300-square-foot moon pool, which will be used for deploying and retrieving autonomous underwater vehicles.
