Va. communities want James River ghost fleet ships removed

(ISLE OF WIGHT, Va.) — The Isle of Wight supervisors passed a resolution that calls for the removal of James River reserve fleet ships, the Smithfield Times newspaper reported. The community is worried about more fuel spills from the Maritime Administration’s so-called “ghost fleet.” The resolution asks Congress to remove at least some of the old ships.
