(WEEHAWKEN, N.J) — Surviving passengers from the US Airways plane that crashed into the Hudson River were shivering but safe after ferry crews assisted them, the Star-Ledger newspaper of Newark, N.J., reported. At least one NY Waterway ferry diverted immediately after a captain witnessed the plane hit the water.
