(WASHINGTON) — A U.S. destroyer has helped free a Panamanian-flagged commercial ship from Somali pirates, Cable News Network reported. The M/V Iceberg and its crew of 24 were taken hostage last week near the Somalia coast. The USS McFaul trailed the vessel, positively identified it and then rescued it from possession by an estimated 50 pirates.
