U.S.-based anti-whaling vessels clash with Japanese harpoon ships

(WELLINGTON, New Zealand) — Vessels from the U.S.-base anti-whaling group Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has located Japanese harpoon ships off New Zealand, Sky News reported. The Bob Barker and Steve Irwin have already clashed with the Japanese vessels even before their hunt for whales has begun. Sea Shepherd officials said the Japanese crews have blasted their vessel with water canons.
