U.S. anti-whaling group launches ‘Godzilla’ interceptor vessel

(FREMANTLE, Australia) — An antiwhaling group has launched a new interceptor vessel that it plans to use to thwart Japanese whaling vessels this season, the website GrindTV reported. The U.S.-based Sea Shepherd Conservation Society’s new ship Gojira is nicknamed “Godzilla.” It replaces the Ady Gil, which was scuttled after a clash with a Japanese whaler last year.
