(MONTREAL) — A German-flagged heavy lift freighter was refloated by tugboats Friday after grounding on rocks in the St. Lawrence Seaway, Splash 247 reported. M/V BBC Maple Lea, carrying a cargo of scrap metal, ran aground near St. Nicholas Island in Chateauguay, Quebec, and was pulled free about eight hours later. The ship reportedly leaked a small amount of hydraulic oil.
