(OTTAWA) — Transport Canada has issued a safety bulletin for vessels switching fuels to achieve Emission Control Area (ECA) compliance. Vessel owners and operators are advised to change over from high to low sulfur bunkers well in advance of entering the ECA to avoid propulsion failure and engine blackouts.
