Titan Salvage says Costa Concordia recovery faces significant delay

(ROME) — Titan Salvage said the Costa Concordia recovery will be significantly delayed, the Times of Malta newspaper reported. The problem is the crews need to drill through granite to construct the platform that will support the ill-fated cruise ship. The U.S. company's salvage master said the initial timeline "is going to be blown out of the water" and the job now can't be finished until June 2013 at the earliest.
