(BEAUMONT, Texas) — Texas environmental officials do not want a court to limit liability in the Eagle Otome oil spill case, the Beaumont Enterprise newspaper reported. The ship’s operator has filed paper asking a judge to set a ceiling of $22 million, the total value of the ship and its cargo. Three state agencies have filed motions asking the judge not to set such a limit.
