(HOLDEN, Mass.) — The third assistant engineer who was ‘severely shocked’ in the recent accident aboard the chemical tanker SR Wilmington has died, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette newspaper reported. Christopher B. Erickson, 24, was a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where he was captain of the football team. Erickson died in the Jan. 7 accident near Galveston, Texas.
