Staten Island Ferry crew saves life of man who jumped into harbor

(STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.) — A man jumped into New York Harbor from the Staten Island Ferry and was rescued, the New York Daily News reported. The ferry crew immediate launched a lifeboat with two crewmembers and used a hook to pull the man out of the cold water. The ferry passengers applauded the crew after the successful rescue, and the man was hospitalized in stable condition.
