(MOUNT VERNON, Ind.) — Shipments are rising at the Port of Indiana-Mount Vernon, the Evansville Courier & Press newspaper reported. Tonnage increased to a record in 2008 and was up 25 percent in the first quarter of 2009. Steel and coal are providing the largest increases.
