Ship to be sunk off Cape May will become largest artificial reef

(PHILADELPHIA) — American Marine Group is preparing the retired USS Arthur W. Radford for service as the largest artificial reef, the Star-Ledger newspaper of Newark, N.J. reported. The destroyer is at Philadelphia naval yard where the company is salvaging whatever contents are still useful. Then the 563-foot vessel will sunk off the coast of Cape May.
