Shell confirms that it will not drill for oil offshore in Alaska in 2013

(WASHINGTON) — Shell has announced that it won't drill for oil offshore in the Alaska Arctic in 2013, the Washington Post reported. The company's decision comes on the heels of problems with two of its drill ships. A Shell official said the suspension this year is a "pause" and that the company is still committed long-term to the project off the Alaska coast.
