Shell conducts drills with Arctic oil spill response system

(WASHINGTON) — Shell’s emergency Arctic oil spill response system is undergoing drills off the coast of Bellingham, Wash., FuelFix.com reported Thursday. The company is conducting the tests as it plans a new round of exploratory drilling in the Chukchi Sea later this year. The equipment is being carried and deployed Arctic Challenger, a retrofit barge.
