(FERNDALE, Wash.) — Samson Rope Technologies has announces the addition of Chafe-Pro FS to its line of chafe products. Chafe-Pro FS provides critical protection for high-performance mooring lines. It has the same Chafe-Pro material, but is custom designed specifically for Samson to have a free-sliding fit.
It is durable, easily installed either before the lines are deployed or after. Chafe-Pro FS is built to last. Multiple layers of specially formulated, heavy-duty nylon and extremely durable thread provide maximum flexibility. It is easily positioned wherever lines pass through chocks or across fairleads anywhere the lines may be subject to abrasion. A simple hook-and-loop closure allows the Chafe-Pro FS sleeve to be quickly installed or repositioned where needed. There are attachment points at both ends for tag lines to keep the sleeve in position.
