(BALTIMORE) — SAFE Boats International, a manufacturer of high-performance aluminum boats located in Bremerton, Wash., unveiled a new model, the multi-mission interceptor (MMI), at the Multi-Agency Craft Conference (MACC) on Wednesday.

Designed around SAFE Boats proven, commercially available interceptor family, the 35-foot MMI has a maximum speed of 55-plus knots and is capable of high-speed open-ocean transits, extreme velocity maneuvers and cornering performance in close proximity to other vessels. A unique integrated SHOX TRAXS mounting system allows the operator to rapidly configure the aft deck to accommodate a variety of mission-specific payloads.

The MMI also carries the latest in innovation from SAFE Boats’ supplier partners such as Mercury, FLIR, Raymarine,  SHOXS, Boatmaster, David Clark, Soft Deck, HyperSpike and Weldon.

“We engaged our customers to understand their current and emerging requirements and designed a platform that gives them true multi-mission capability in a single platform," said Dennis Morris, chief executive officer.
