(BAYONNE, N.J.) — A Royal Caribbean cruise ship sustained minor damage and was forced to turn back to its home port after encountering hurricane-force winds and 30-foot seas off the Carolina coast, USA Today reported. Anthem of the Seas experienced "extreme wind and sea conditions" that were not expected as it was sailing from Bayonne, N.J., to Port Canaveral, Fla., the company said. Passengers were confined to their cabins for safety; four people suffered injuries. Photos posted by passengers show overturned furniture and a collapsed ceiling in a corridor.
