Report: Florida towboat captain died of broken neck, not drowning

(ISLAMORADA, Fla.) — A Poseidon Marine Towing and Salvage towboat captain who died in a maritime accident suffered a broken neck and didn’t drown, the Florida Keys Keynoter newspaper reported. The victim’s mother, owner of the company, said the vessel flipped over on top of him. Earlier reports that the casualty involved a grounding are incorrect, she said.
