(LONG BEACH, Calif.) — A Carnival Corp. executive said the Carnival Splendor fire cost the company $65 million, the Daily Breeze newspaper reported. After a three-month interruption for repairs, the cruise ship was ready to resume voyages to Mexico from Long Beach again this weekend. Carnival added additional fire-suppression equipment during the dry dock visit.
