(HOUSTON) — Texas ports are hurting this year as a result of the economic recession, the Houston Chronicle newspaper reported. Buffalo Marine Service says it’s not seeing the usual buildup of pre-holiday-season cargo inventory so far. Kirby Corp. has cut 6 percent of its work force.
