Radio Holland opens office, starts operations in Abu Dhabi

(ROTTERDAM, Netherlands) — Radio Holland, part of the newly formed company RH Marine Group, has recently received its commercial trade license for Abu Dhabi after signing a contract with sponsor Royal Ruby Group (RRG).

The commercial trade license allows the opening of a Radio Holland Middle East office in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and Radio Holland service engineers can now start to service customers offshore in Abu Dhabi. The process of obtaining the license commenced in October 2015, when the contract with sponsor Royal Ruby Group (RRG) in Abu Dhabi was signed between a member of the royal family, the CEO of RRG Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalid Al-Hamed, and Frans Ploegaert, regional director Middle East and India representing Radio Holland.

"This is an important moment since it allows Radio Holland Middle East to make inroads into the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which has a leading role in the oil/gas and offshore activities as well as in the navy activities of the UAE," Ploegaert said. "We are very happy with Royal Ruby Group as our sponsor in Abu Dhabi since we needed an active partner to accelerate in these market segments. We will run our new Abu Dhabi office, which is being developed as we speak, in parallel to our present offices in Sharjah and Fujairah which remain under the sponsorship of Abdulla Sanqoor.’'

In 2016 Radio Holland Middle East plans to increase its activities in Qatar, Kuwait and Oman as well. The UAE crew of 64 people including 29 engineers and project managers are now active throughout the Middle East region from India via Oman to the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
