Queen of the North navigator charged with criminal negligence

(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — Canadian authorities have charged the navigation officer of the Queen of the North with criminal negligence as a result of the vessel’s fatal 2006 grounding, CTV reported. Two people were lost at sea when the BC Ferries vessel struck Gil Island and sank.
