(TAYLORSPORT, Ky.) — The mariner who remained missing after the towboat Ceredo sank in the Ohio River may have stayed behind to save the life of a fellow crewman, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. A witness said the crewmate got his lifejacket hooked on something on the sinking boat. That crewmate plus one other were able to swim to safety, while the man who helped is missing.
