Prince Rupert port welcomes largest ship, future growth (PHOTO)

(PRINCE RUPERT, British Columbia) — Prince Rupert’s port celebrated a visit by the new port’s largest vessel yet, the Northern View newspaper reported. The 8,500 teu Cosco Malaysia called on the British Columbia container port today, on its maiden voyage. Port officials said the ship’s visit symbolizes the rapid growth of the port, which opened in 2007.
