(VICTORIA, Texas) — A new barge fleeting terminal will soon be opening to alleviate congestion in the Port of Victoria, the Victoria Advocate reported. The terminal is the result of a partnership between the port and Victoria Fleet, an affiliate of Devall Towing and Boat Service of Louisiana, which will pay for construction and oversee operations once the facility is completed in July. The terminal will be large enough to accommodate 50 inland barges.
